Mr.Samuel Sunny of B.Sc Nursing III Year won the second runner up and Ms.Ambalika, B.Sc Nursing I year won second prize in on the spot painting. This conference has given them opportunity to meet Leaders, strengthen their Professional Network Connections, team work platform to exhibit their talent and level up their skills. • As part of Independence Day Celebration Essay, Poetry, Singing and skit Competitions were conducted on the theme Mahakavi Bharathiar and National Freedom Movement. Students actively participated. • Celebrated Onam “Aarppo 2023” on 29.08.2023 in A Ground, PSG Health Sciences Institutions. In view of this 33 B.Sc Nursing students from I, II, III and IV Year participated in various events such as Extempore, Essay writing, On the spot Painting, Pencil sketching, Monoact, Floor decoration, Classical dance, Hair do, Face painting, Mehandi, Comedy Time, Vegetable Carving, Glazy pot and Poster Presentation. Students won Ist Prize in On the spot painting, Poster on the topic (Anatomy and Physiology, SNAI Activities), Comedy Time, IIIrd Prize in Floor Decoration, Poster on the topic (Biomedical Waste Management). SNA General Body meeting was held on 31.07.2023.New SNA EB Members for the year 2023-2024 were elected and took charge. Students who participated in Summer University 2023 presented a detailed report of the programme. “UTSAV Dheera 2023” cultural programme was organized by B.Sc Nursing IV Year (Eunike) 2019 batch on 20.07.2023 and 21.07.2023. She also congratulated the winners and the students for their enthusiastic participation. The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Jaeny Kemp, Vice President of TNAI, South Region addressed the gathering and highlighted that “Women are stronger and greater among men”. She emphasized the importance of women taking up the leadership roles in various fields. Which was followed by a debate on the topic “Naveena uzhagathil thozhilnutpa vazharchiavachiyamanatha??Aapathanatha?”. Prof. VasanthiBai, PG Assistant, Elsie Matriculation & Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore moderated the debate with 6Nursing studentdebaters (Ms. Abirami. M, Ms. Angali. M, Ms. Swarnamugi. S, Ms. Simi Preethi. G.A, Ms. Vyshali.M and Ms. Bavatharani. J). The debaters expressed their views on importance, advantages and illeffects of technological developments. The moderator concluded that the Technological development is highly essential in this modern world. The moderator and debaters humorous talk added essence to the debate. The prizes were distributed to the winners of Slogan Writing, Doodle art and Short Film Making competitions. 9 | September 2022 | Farewell 2018 batch | B.Sc Nursing 3rd year students gave farewell to the 4th year outgoing batch students on 30th September, 2022 between 2pm and 3 pm at exam hall 5th floor. Students and faculty attended. Dr. A .Jayasudha, Principal Presided over the program and insisted the outgoing batch students to stay connected with their alma matter after they leave the institution and prepare well for the university exam. Students shared their memories and memento with their seniors. 3rd and 4th years joined together for cake cutting. Final year students have organized the program. Students decorated the floor with pookolam using colourful flowers, the entry of king Mahabali added cheers to the crowd. Students performed thiruvadhira dance, Malayali mangas walk show and conducted various activities like fun games to the teachers and students like bottle filling with water, tug of war. All have actively participated and won the prizes. At the end of the program sweets and ada prathaman payasam was distributed to all. |

IV year (Medico Tentations 2018-B) organized on stage and off stage events for 3 batches (I, II & III Years). Judges were invited from various departments inside the Health Science campus. Mr.G. Thangavel, Proprietor, Delite Orchestra, Coimbatore was invited as Chief Guest, Dr.J.S.Bhuvaneshwaran, Director, PSG super Speciality Hospitals was the Guest of Honor. 2 | April 2022 | World Health Day | PSG College of Nursing (SNA, NSS Unit & Community Health Nursing Department) observed World Health Day on April 7th 2022 with the theme “OUR PLANET OUR HEALTH” focusing attention to the well-being of our planet and the humans living on it. Various events were organized such as Yoga sessions, Health Education, Role play, Games and School Health Mela. The day started with Simple yoga asanas demonstrated by Mr.Jeladharan, Counsellor, PSG Krishnammal Arts& Science College, Peelamedu in PSG Sports ground at 7:00am. Around 400 students and faculty actively participated and were benefitted. Public awareness programs like Perfect Pick, Choose Yourself games, Role Play on WHO Theme and education on Healthy Lifestyle were organized by II Year B.Sc Nursing students in ‘B’ Block PSG Hospitals. School Health Mela was organized in PSG High School, Vedapatti which included activities such as skit on Healthy Life style& Environmental sanitation, Fashion Show on ill effects of junk food, Dance on Exercises and Nutrition Exhibition by IV Year B.Sc Nursing students. Nearly 150 students were benefitted. 3 | October 2019 | UTSAVA ’19 | Had Cultural celebration UTSAVA ’19 on 4th October 2019 at outside stage opposite to the IMS&R auditorium. The program started at 8 am and judges were invited from PSG Hospitals, College of Physiotherapy, College of Pharmacy followed by fresher’s welcome party for 2019 batch and farewell party for the outgoing batch. The program ended with valedictory function DR.J.S.Bhuvaneshwaran, Director SSH was the chief guest. The Overall cultural trophy was won by “MEDICO TENTACIONS” of 2018 batch. 8 | June 2018 | International Day Against Drug Abuse And Illicit Trafficking | SNA joined with Mental Health Nursing Department and observed International Day Against Drug Abuse And Illicit Trafficking on 26th June 2018 organized radio talk on PSG community FM between 9am and 9:20am followed by 8 pm and 8:20 pm. Six students from III year B.Sc nursing and 2 students from I year B.Sc nursing actively participated and delivered appropriate message regarding drug abuse, its ill effects and the treatment to the sufferers which was very useful to the public. |

2 | November 2017 | Mass awareness & Role Play programme Nursing Inter Collegiate Sports Meet 2017-2018 Intercollegiate Quiz Programme | The IV year B.Sc Nursing students, 2014 batch conducted Mass awareness programme on the topic “Management of Dengue”. at Thudiyalur Primary Health Centre on 10.11.2017. They have organized programmes like skit, villupattu and video on 27.11.2017. Around 100 people were benefitted out of this programme and conducted role play on the topic “Prevention and control of Dengue” at Palamalai Tribal Middle School, Palamalai on 27.11.2017. Around 50 students and 20 tribal people were benefitted out of this programme. The TamilNadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University Nursing Inter Collegiate Sport Meet- 2017-18 “Saathanaikku sandharpam” was hosted by KG College of Nursing at KGISL Campus , Saravanampatty, Coimbatore on 21st & 22nd of November 2017. Totally 52 colleges participated. 44 students (25 Girls & 19 Boys) from PSG College of Nursing participated in various track and field ev ents and won prizes. 3 | October 2017 | GB Meeting Diwali&Fresher’s Welcome Intercollegiate Sports Meet | GB meeting was held on 06.10.17 between 1-2 pm at 5th floor exam hall. Dr.A.Jayasudha , Principal, introduced Mrs.Jenifer Gracy, Asst. Professor as SNA Advisor to the students. Student representatives for various clubs were selected in the meeting. Students were encouraged to make use of the suggestion box actively. Diwali and Freshers’ welcome was planned on 13th October 2017. Diwali and fresher’s welcome was successfully held as planned on 13 October’17 at PSGIMSR auditorium between 4-5 p.m. Students participated in various cultural programs and freshers were asked to introduce themselves to all. SNA had sponsored the registration fees for the intercollegiate sports meet conducted by Cherraan’s College Of Nursing, Coimbatore. KHOKHO girls team came with the runner up. With a silent prayer, the meeting commenced at 2.30 pm. Vice President Ms Pandiselvi T (2013 Batch) welcomed the gathering. The Vice President Ms Pandiselvi T (2013 Batch), Ms Nimisha Varghese, Secretary (2014 Batch), Ms Soniya A (2014 batch)Treasurer, and Ms Sangeetha (2014 Batch) had presented reports about International Nurses Day Celebration, Previous minutes of GB meeting, Accounts details from 21.09.2016 to 29.06.2017, reports of Biennial Conference respectively. 6 | March 2014 | “Ujvala 2014″ | Ujvala 2014 is an intra collegiate cultural and fund raising programme to support social causes. It was held on March 15th 2014 at examination hall of V floor. The programme was inaugurated by Principal Prof.Elizabeth Jean Abraham, College of Nursing at 9.20 a.m. Presidential address was given by Principal and she declared the Ujvala – 2014 open. The day was moved on with a splash of colourful events one after the other. the stalls for food and games adored the other side of the veranda. Various cultural events like mime, group dance, quiz, dumb chards, fashion show, Ms./Mr personality were conducted and the best three performances were awarded with prizes. The funds raised on the day will be utilized to support one deserving paediatric patient at PSG Hospitals and towards supply of stationeries for the Manavar Illam students. The programme came to an end by 8.30 p.m. Faculty and students had a memorable cultural day. |

03 | OCTOBER 2013 | XXV SNA State Level Biennial Conference at JKK College of Nursing, Komarapalayam. | Students attended XXV SNA State Level Biennial Conference at JKK College of Nursing, Komarapalayam. Students from PSG College of Nursing participated in all the events of educational, cultural & sports and won few prizes. First place was awarded for scientific paper and adaptune. Paper presentation on ‘A study to assess the effectiveness of simulation technique in teaching learning process of CPR among nursing students at PSG College of Nursing, Coimbatore was done by Ms.Santhosh Priya of IV year B.Sc Nursing and it was guided by Prof.Meera Saravanan, SNA Advisor. This paper was published in the conference Souvenir. Students secured 2nd place in Javelin throw, throw ball, Ms.SNA, Mr.SNA and also 3rd place in face painting, vegetable carving and poster presentation on ‘Future of nursing educator in India’. SNA Vice-President and Secretary will attend the XXV SNA National Biennial conference at Surat from 13th to 17th November 2013. |
04 | September 07/09/2013 20.09.2013 | Uttarakand Disaster management & Relief Fund,EB meeting,GB meeting, SNA-EB Election & XXV State SNA Biennial Conference, a unit level competition | Ms.Santhoshpriya presented a paper on “Knowledge on e-waste among the youths of PSG Institute of Paramedical & Medical Sciences” at the seminar on Prof. Meera Saravanan accompanied the student and attended the seminar. SNA celebrated onam, farewell to outgoing students, SNA handing over ceremony with announcement of election results for the post of Vice-President Ms.Steffy Jose, Secretary Mr.Sathish and Treasurer Mr.Nithyabalan. The students exchange programme experience was shared by the students who went to Lausanne, Switzerland -Summer University Programme during June 2013 . As a preliminary preparation of XXV State SNA Biennial Conference, a unit level competition was conducted on 20.09.13. The best students for each event were selected & registered for the State Level Conference on 3rd, 4th and 5th October ’13. Ninety two students are registering for the various academic and cultural competitions for the conference. Two faculty will accompany the students each day from PSG to Annai JKK College of Nursing, Komarapalayam. |

06 | May 07.05.2013 | International Nurses Day, General Body Meeting & SNA Biennial Conference | As part of the International Nurses Day celebration, a quiz programme was conducted on 7th May 2013. The preliminary round was conducted at 1.30 p.m. The final round was conducted at 5 p.m. The winners of the programme were Steffie Jose P and Saranya S of Aristas 2010 batch. The first runners up were Tamilselvan and Shanthi. The quiz was conducted by quiz mistress Ms.Jerrin Ann Joseph and Ms.Caroline Rachel Jacob. General Body Meeting: A farewell party was given for the Vice-Principal Prof.T.Nirmala. Thanks giving speech was given by the Vice-President and SNA Advisor of College SNA Unit. The luckiest teachers were also picked up by lot. The prize winners name were announced at the culmination of event. The programme ended by 5.30 p.m. |

10 | January 07.11.2013 19.01.2013 28.01.2013 | Summer Exchange Programme – Swiss students Visit,Moments 2013,EB Meeting & GB Meeting | PSG College of Nursing for welcoming the students of Sandiego State University and Swiss University. The programme started by 3.10 pm. The host performed various entertainment programmes representing the cultural heritages of Indian sub-continent. The students from USA and Switzerland also presented programme like group song and presentation about their lifestyle and famous places in Switzerland & USA. The programme culminated at 5pm. Moments 2013 On January 19th about 49 students from our college participated in the Intercollege Cultural – ‘Moments 2013’ at GKNM and Mani’s School in Pappanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore. The programmes were scheduled from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The students won prizes in most of the events participated. We won the third place in the overall championship. Congratulated the winners of Moments 2013. Planning for Ujjvala 2013, and Report reading was done by the Treasurer. Queries and doubts raised by the students were answered and clarified. The meeting was concluded by 6.30 pm. |

We won the 2nd and 3rd price for the scientific paper presentation among 26 papers presented. Among 57 groups participated our group won the first price for talent night. Ms. Priya Varghese(2006 batch) and Ms. Anusha Rani(2007 batch) attended the National Biennial conference which was conducted in Culcutta. Many students participated in ZOTICUS which was organized by CMC Vellore. Ms. Nirosha A(2006 batch) won the 3rd price in relay. |
